If a game is not in your inventory, you cannot trade it most likely because you purchased a game version and not a gift version of the game. If you drag the wrong item into the trade window, you can easily drag it back into the "Inventory" grid to remove it from the trade offer. You'll see this appear under the "Your items" grid when you add something to the trade. Clicking this does not mean you are finishing the trade, but you are done adding to your trade window.
